VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Santa Susana High School (SSHS) PTSA is always looking for enthusiastic, energetic and creative people who would like to volunteer their time. Students are encouraged to volunteer and earn community service hours.

Some of our PTSA volunteer opportunities include:

  • Hospitality Committee (year-round need at various functions)
  • Red Ribbon Week (October)
  • Reflections - art contest (October) and art show (January)
  • Care and Share - local donation drives (Fall and Spring)
  • Pi/Pie Day (March)
  • Staff Appreciation (February and May)
  • STEAM Expo (Spring)
  • HSA - Honorary Service Awards (Spring)
  • Senior Scholarships (Spring)

MEMBERSHIP

PTSA Membership dues: $7.00

No Frills Fundraiser:
Please consider further supporting our PTSA programs by including an additional donation. ($50 per family is suggested, but any amount is appreciated!) Check with your employer to see if they have a corporate matching donation program.

Your membership:

  • supports our PTSA programs, events and activities.
  • provides a connection and commitment to SSHS, whether you are a parent, student, family member or friend.
  • gives you a voice and a vote at all PTSA Association meetings.
  • advocates for students and teachers at the state level.
  • provides college scholarship opportunities for eligible students (qualifications include a 2-year membership.)

Membership does NOT require you to volunteer, but volunteers are always welcome!
