What is "A-G"?

The A-G / College Entrance Requirements are a sequence of high school courses students must complete (with a grade of C or better) to be minimally eligible for admission to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU). UC Freshman Admission "a-g" requirements: UC (& CSU) "A-G" Requirements

For each semester course offering which is completed successfully, with a “D” or better, five (5) credits of required or elective credits are issued.  To obtain credits an “A”, “B”, “C” or “D” grade is required.  If a course is repeated to improve a grade, credit will be assigned only to the higher grade for graduation purposes.  

*All students must complete a course that meets the state content standards for Algebra I (EC 51225.5)

**You must receive a grade of “C” of better to earn credit for the A-G requirement

Six class periods per day, plus lunch, is the standard student schedule.

Seniors must be enrolled in 5 classes each semester.

THE FINAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MEETING GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
RESTS WITH THE STUDENT AND HIS/HER PARENTS.
